MEETING CHANGE

Next club meeting will be Tues. June 27th, 2006, 7:00 PM at the Field.

Since our next meeting would normally fall on the fourth of July, it has been rescheduled to June 27th 7:00 pm at the field.

NEWS FLASH

In an event unprecedented in recent times, on May 9th , Carman flew!
Yes our Carman flew!
I have the testimony of several normally reliable witnesses, that on the above date Carman successfully flew and landed his SPAD.
Way to go Carman, we knew you could do it.
Looks like there was a real good turnout that evening– more pictures later.

Our sincere sympathy to Peggy and Jerry and their family for the loss of their infant granddaughter.

FIELD ACTIVITY

As evidenced by these pictures, activity at the field is picking up.
There was a good turnout for the June meeting and with the weather cooperating several members
took to the air.
The pictures by the way were not from meeting night, but from May 9th when Carman flew.

NEW MEMBER

Welcome to Harry Stanley, our latest new member.
He was voted in at the last meeting. Harry’s classic truck drew a crowd of envious admirers that evening.

SAFETY REMINDER

Our flying site is now a commercial airport, which means increased traffic. How does this involve us? We must be increasingly aware of full scale aircraft to keep out of their way. This means we should always have an observer present when flying.

I can’t think of a faster way to lose our flying site, than to interfere with the normal operations of the field.

HUMOR?

Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown,
BUT it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and smack that jerk upside the head.

There are two theories to arguing with a women...neither one works.

When you're intelligent, you'll know which half."
